The Westfield logo has been upgraded across multiple precincts through the fabrication and installation of opal acrylic with internal LED’s, ensuring the signage would be visible at night. 

One project involved the use of recycled plastic collected from local surrounding schools to be manufactured as wheel stops across 2381 car bays. It also involved the manufacturing and installation of 1341 signs inside the centre, including over a kilometre of cross-hatching, pedestrian crossing and curb highlighting across the centre. 

Other centres have utilised off-site construction which has included the manufacture and assembly of large sign types, such as the free-standing totems made from aluminium cladding with push-fit of opal acrylic letters that include live-data of available parking spaces.FACA’s innovative approach to the upgrade not only accomplished the goal of creating a beautiful face to the building, but a sustainable and eco-friendly design. Our team removed 1000swm of the old façade, and repurposed it with a focus on waste minimisation and recycling. Panel Cycle seperated the alumnium and core minerals from the old façade and sent them to NSW Hunter Region to be transformed into high-quality steel, tiles and benchtops for future use.

For the new façade, our goal was to create a stunning visual statement that matched the sophistication of the iconic destination. The Proclad SOLID high-quality aluminium panels provides a modern and flat appearance to the façade, reinforcing the luxurious state of the destination. The 2-coat system that includes fluoropolymer resin and an inhibitive primer, formulates long-term durability that is resistant to corrosion, chemical attack and UV damage – this façade will stand the test of time.
