A player from a true fabrication background.
FACA provides comprehensive knowledge of complex and outrageous fabrication methodologies, cutting-edge technologies, structural engineering and building physics — delivering some of the most sustainable and innovative solutions for ambitious facades.
Established to do better in an industry heavily reliant on overseas procurement, we built our reputation on excellence and accountability within the local facade space. Frustrated by poor quality control, chronic project delays and limited onshore supply and proficiency to meet demand, our fully integrated approach challenges the ‘near enough is good enough’ mentality that is sometimes prominent in the field.
Our in-house team manages all aspects of facade fabrication, consistently meeting the mark on both aesthetic and function. We work closely with clients to develop architectural and practical strategies for manufacturing, installation and rectification — creating beautiful and bold facades.

CAPABILITIES
The subtle art of aesthetics and cutting-edge solutions. Curtain walls are structural cladding systems, usually characterised by glass, metal or other infill materials, which create a stunning visual impact on a building’s exterior. It allows the combined windows and spandrel framing to span multiple levels, ultimately forming a beautiful, continuous facade.
Disassociating a building from old architectural stereotypes. Our cutting-edge engineering of fin and louvre systems is tailored to meet the demands of modern architectural facades.
Endless possibilities that expand panoramic views or allow the presence of light. Our full suite of doors and windows is designed to suit any configuration and requirements, with a focus on aesthetics and functionality.
Cultivating pride in our heritage. Designed to breathe life back into a building, we set out to reimagine original architecture and framework in respect to the historical context of the building.
A blend of minimalism and modernism. From initial concept to final touches, our expert team manufactures and installs high-quality balustrade systems that complement a building's features and comply with current building codes and standards.
Every surface is seen as a blank canvas. A building's exterior is elevated with a multipurpose element of cladding, increasing durability while also increasing the aesthetic appeal. We create bespoke and intricate cladding solutions that become a spectacle on the streets. These allow us to support tier-one builders, developers and asset owners with complex projects that shape entire precincts and landmarks.

FAQs
What is the purpose of the facade?
A facade’s role is both functional and expressive. It shields the structure from weather, manages heat and moisture, reduces noise and contributes to energy efficiency. It’s also critical for fire safety and compliance, ensuring performance under all conditions.
At the same time, it’s the part of the building that expresses intent, how it sits in its surroundings, how light interacts with it and how it’s perceived from the street. A well-designed facade performs as well as it looks.
What is an example of a facade?
A facade is any visible face of a building, often the front elevation that defines its appearance and character. You’ll see them everywhere, from sleek glass curtain walls on city towers to brick or stone frontages on heritage streetscapes. Even modern shading elements like fins, louvres and perforated panels are part of a building’s facade.
More than just a visual feature, a facade integrates materials and systems that protect the structure while shaping how the building is experienced. It’s both the skin and the personality of the architecture.
What is the difference between a facade and an exterior?
The terms are closely related but mean different things. A facade refers to one face of a building, typically the most visible or architecturally expressive side. It includes everything that makes up that surface, such as glazing, cladding, framing and shading systems.
The exterior, on the other hand, covers the entire outer shell, including all facades, the roof, terraces and other external components. Simply put, every facade is part of the exterior, but not all of the exterior is a facade.
Are facade and cladding the same thing?
They’re connected but not the same. The facade is the complete outer system, including the structure, insulation, glazing and finishes that make up the building’s outer face.
Cladding is just the outermost layer, the material you see and touch, such as metal panels, terracotta tiles or stone sheets. It’s one element within the facade, not the facade itself.
